Global Energy Ventures are pleased to announce a contract award from Afren for a subsequent completion to deconstruct a Helideck & substructures on its Gulftide platform offshore Abidjan. The work was conducted without the use of a crane barge utilising 'Floating Pole' lifting equipment, thus saving the client significant removal costs. The project was completed ahead of schedule & under budget by our in house crew of rig building, construction & rope access teams.

Following a significant investment, Global Energy Ventures are pleased to announce that they have taken possession of their newly constructed purpose built facilities in Takoradi, Ghana.

The new premises, which consists of pressure testing facilities, modern offices, expansive yard space and fabrication workshops occupies over 7,000 sqm and are dedicated to providing specialist Inspection, Lifting and Fabrication services to Production & Exploration operations both onshore & offshore.
Shortly after becoming operational, the facility undertook a number of construction projects on behalf of Transocean & Expro.
The investment in combining all of these services under one roof underlines Global Energy Ventures unique proposition and commitment to our longevity in Ghana & will enable the Group to benefit greatly from the increased business activity in the Gulf of Guinea

In line with exceptionally strong demand from its client base, Global Energy Ventures has acquired larger fabrication facilities to expand its core offerings in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire.

The new facilities, unique to the region also house onsite inspection facilities including darkrooms as well as areas to allow Rope Access training. In tandem with the relocation, the Group has also moved its management offices to the Rue De Petroliers opposite SDV as well as investing in new NDT inspection & fabrication equipment.
This new quayside facility, located at SDV in Abidjan has doubled fabrication capacity and will allow the Group to conduct a number of recently awarded onshore & offshore construction contracts. This coupled with our investment in new NDT & fabrication equipment will ensure that we are well placed to meet the growing demands of our Exploration & Production partners based in the region.
