Foxtrot International, Cote d’Ivoire’s second largest producer of oil and gas, will be supported by Global Energy Ventures in their drilling campaign planned to start in June 2014.
The agreement includes many of the services in the Global Energy Ventures portfolio including; OCTG, NDT, lifting inspections, rope access and fabrication. The agreement has been extended to include Foxtrot’s projects and production divisions in addition to the drilling team.

Global Energy Ventures confirm the recent conclusion of a service contract for Tullow’s 2013 well programme in Ivory Coast.
Global Energy Ventures SARL was awarded a contract which included our principal service offerings: lifting, inspection and fabrications. Global Energy Ventures provided training courses to Tullow personnel, including LOLER accredited banksman and slinging courses and a defensive driving course. Tullow also leased a Global Energy Ventures rigging loft for the duration of their programme. These services were deployed to support Tullow’s Paon-2A well in CI-103 block, partnered by Anadarko and Petroci.
The company also provided inspection services to Seadrill’s ‘West Leo’ Semi Sub which is currently contracted by Tullow for their West African drill programme.
Global Energy Ventures announce the award of multiple service agreements to support Lukoil’s high impact drilling campaign across Ivory Coast, Ghana and Sierra Leone.
The 18 month campaign is well underway and will see the Russian E&P drill in blocks CI-401 and 101 Ivory Coast, SL 01 in Sierra Leone and the substantial deep water acreage; Cape Three Points offshore Ghana.
The service agreement includes OCTG inspections to DS-1 standard, lifting inspections, sling manufacture and both onshore and offshore fabrication services.
Global Energy Ventures announce the successful completion of a critical heavy lift contract on board Modec’s FPSO Kwame Nkrumah, currently operating for Tullow on the Jubilee Field.
The multi-million dollar award involved the design, supply and erection of a load bearing scaffolding structure to remove 3 x 16,700kg Sea Water Injection (SWI) motors from the platform in under 14 weeks.
GEV Ghana Ltd project managed all elements of the work scope, which covered:
• Design and supply of load bearing scaffold equipment
• Lifting frames, skid plates, load testing and rigging gear
• Provision of Advanced CISRS scaffold crew
• Provision of OPITO approved rigging crew
• Onshore / offshore rigging and lifting services
Despite the complexity of the lift, which compensated for the dynamic effects of vertical and horizontal mass, the contract was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

Global Energy Ventures completes refurbishment of 4 x 27,500 litre capacity cyanide ISO Tanks to client specification and compliant to ASME-B31.3
Global Energy Ventures were contracted to bring a fleet of tankers up to standard. Utilising some of our core skills including NDT, fabrication and pressure testing, the job was completed to a standard far exceeding the clients’ expectations. Due to the hazardous chemicals being transported within the tanks (cyanide, used in the gold mining industry), Global Energy Ventures’ breadth of services and dedication to quality and standards were critical factors in the clients’ rigorous selection criteria.
The scope for this opportunity included:
• Fabrication and installation of stainless steel strainers and access hatch covers
• Installation of new PRV/ Breather Valves
• NDT Inspections throughout, including Eddy Current
• Weld new flanges to all hoses to allow correct hose coupling connections
• Structural repairs and modifications to all steel work on tanks
• Thickness gauging and complete pressure testing witnessed by client
Global Ventures are delighted to announce that they have entered into a 2 year service agreement with KCA Deutag in Cote d’Ivoire.
CNR International has leased KCA Deutag’s self-erect tender barge (SETB), the Glen Esk, for its Espoir Phase III project offshore Cote d’Ivoire. The initial term is for 8 development wells with an option for a further 8.
Global Energy Ventures will be tasked with deploying its full suite of services to include NDT, tubular and lifting inspections along with fabrication and rope access.
Drilling is expected to commence in May 2013 with Global having already provided significant pre drilling support services since the beginning of the year. The contract allows for an extension of 2 x 1 year options.
Global Energy Ventures are pleased to announce the signing of an inspections service agreement with Saipem S.p.A in support of its drill programme in Togo & Ghana during 2013.
The Scarabeo 9, a DNV class 6th generation ultra deepwater semisub will drill 2 wells in Togo for ENI before it is deployed to Ghana. The appraisal well, located at Sankofa East 3A, OCTP will spud around May 2013.
The company is expected to provide tubular, lifting, NDT and rope access inspection services to both ENI and Saipem during their Western African drill programme.
Global Energy Ventures SARL are pleased to confirm they have extended their 7 year service agreement with Canadian Natural Resources Cote d’Ivoire.
Global Energy Ventures has supported CNR’s extensive drilling and production operations since 2005 in providing tubular, rope access, NDT and lifting inspections for its onshore and offshore operations alongside the placement of permanent specialist personnel. The company also provides an extensive range of fabrication & asset integrity inspections, to include its two FPSO’s, Baobab & Espoir, operated by Modec and BW Offshore.
The renewal ties in with CNR’s redevelopment of the Espoir field. The Espoir Phase III drilling campaign, which is to commence in May 2013, will see Global Energy Ventures play a significant service support role during the planned field development, consisting 8 highly deviated wells in block CI-26.
The multi-million dollar award will secure work for a significant number of local and expatriate personnel and is testament to the Group’s broad expertise and ongoing investment in local training.

Global Energy Ventures are pleased to announce that they have recently renewed a series of high profile, long term contracts with Schlumberger in support of their operations in both Ivory Coast and Ghana. These multi-million dollar contracts make provision for drill pipe and drill tool inspections to DS CAT 1-5 and NS-2 involving a number of inspection crews to be based permanently across various Schlumberger D&M and Wireline sites. The agreement will secure work for some twenty highly trained local and expat OCTG inspectors.
In a further development, Schlumberger Seaco has also engaged the company to provide permanent on site local and expat LEEA qualified lifting inspectors who’s responsibility will be to manage, maintain and inspect the majority of Schlumberger’s CCU’s, containers and lifting assets to DNV standards across West Africa.
Over the past 12 months alone, the company has invested $700,000 in delivering new inspection equipment and onsite technical training to its Ivorian and Ghanaian operations. Global Energy Ventures have recently renewed its long term service agreement with Italian super major ENI in continuing to provide inspections services for its exploratory operations in Ghana. The company has a long standing relationship with ENI, having supported it first spudding in 2009
The latest agreement provides terms for tubular inspections through to DS CAT 5 in support of its well programme offshore Ghana. This includes the Gye Nyame 1 well located Offshore Cape Three Points ( OCTP ) & the Nunya -1x well residing in the Keta block. ENI have contracted Transocean's Marianas ( semi submersible ) for their latest drill campaign with whom Global Energy Ventures also has strong ties having conducted US$1.5M in fabrications, rope access & inspections over the past 18 months.
Management are currently in discussions with ENI with respect to supporting their operations in other regions across Africa.

David brings to the company a wealth of HSE experience having spent much of his earlier career in the offshore industry providing safety training predominantly on North Sea platforms and more recently, safety consultancy services for BP, Total, Reliance Industries & ENI under BOSS Health & Safety Consulting. David holds an MSc & NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management, is a chartered member of IOSH (CMIOSH) and actively provides services for the British Safety Council as lead auditor, trainer and consultant, specialising in the Oil and Gas sector.
The appointment of David Burrage to manage health and safety is another key milestone for the business that reflects our drive towards operational excellence.
Global Energy Ventures are delighted to announce the award of a multi country service agreement with Lukoil. The contract calls for tubular inspections to DS1 CAT1-5 & high pressure cleaning of over 6,000 joints located across Lukoil's operations in Ghana & Ivory Coast.
Lukoil are currently engaged in a high impact drill campaign covering the Three Points Deep Water Block , Ghana, utilising the Ocean Rig Olympia drillship. Global Energy Ventures are also providing a full suite of inspections, rope access and lifting services to the Olympia from its base in Takoradi.
Offshore Ivory Coast, Lukoil will commence drilling a number of exploration wells in blocks C1-401 & C1-101 with the Maersk Deliverer. Global Energy Ventures will be supporting both Lukoil & Maersk from their recently expanded Ivorian facilities
Global Energy Ventures are pleased to confirm that they have been awarded inspection service agreements to support Anadarko's drill campaign in Ivory Coast, Liberia & Sierra Leone.
Anadarko operates block LB-15 in Liberia and will be drilling the exploration well, Montserrado. On plugging Montserrado, the campaign will move to the Mercury-2 appraisal and Jupiter exploration wells in Sierra Leone, located in block SL-07B-11. Anadarko has contracted Transocean's Discoverer Spirit to conduct drilling operations.
Global Energy Ventures has secured several multi disciplined inspection, lifting and fabrication work scopes on the drillship with a programme of electrical & upgrade works planned throughout the year. Global Energy Ventures are pleased to announce a contract award from Afren for a subsequent completion to deconstruct a Helideck and substructures on its Gulftide platform offshore Abidjan. The work was conducted without the use of a crane barge utilising 'Floating Pole' lifting equipment, thus saving the client significant removal costs. The project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget by our in house crew of rig building, construction and rope access teams.
Following a significant investment, Global Energy Ventures are pleased to announce that they have taken possession of their newly constructed purpose built facilities in Takoradi, Ghana.
The new premises, which consists of pressure testing facilities, modern offices, expansive yard space and fabrication workshops occupies over 7,000 sqm and are dedicated to providing specialist Inspection, Lifting and Fabrication services to Production and Exploration operations both onshore & offshore.
Shortly after becoming operational, the facility undertook a number of construction projects on behalf of Transocean and Expro.

In line with exceptionally strong demand from its client base, Global Energy Ventures has acquired larger fabrication facilities to expand its core offerings in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire.
The new facilities, unique to the region, also house onsite inspection facilities including darkrooms and areas to allow Rope Access training. In tandem with the relocation, the Group has also moved its management offices to the Rue De Petroliers opposite SDV as well as investing in new NDT inspection and fabrication equipment.
This new quayside facility, located at SDV in Abidjan has doubled fabrication capacity and will allow the Group to conduct a number of recently awarded onshore and offshore construction contracts. This coupled with our investment in new NDT and fabrication equipment will ensure that we are well placed to meet the growing demands of our Exploration and Production partners based in the region.
